The Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre is New Zealand's world-class indoor swimming facility hosting many local, national and international aquatic events.
Kilbirnie pool, the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (WRAC) is a prominent landmark in Kilbirnie. The pool features an Olympic size 50-metre heated indoor pool, including diving pool, hydrotherapy pool, toddler’s pool, fitness centre and aerobics studio, private spa pools, single-sex private saunas, swim shop, Crèche and Café.
The pool hosts a number of regional, national and international swimming, diving, waterpolo, and underwater hockey events.

“As we were a swimming group the apartments were well situated near the Kilbirnie Pools and across the road from the shops which took the stress out of managing a teenage team. As soon as we arrived at the apartments we were greeted with a friendly and professional attitude and anything that we needed was efficiently done. There was everything there that we needed kitchen utensils, bedding etc. I feel that the manager went out of his way to make our stay most enjoyable.”
