1 – Mt Victoria Lookout

The best views of Wellington city and the surounding suburbs can be found at the Mt Victoria Lookout.  This is a common spot for holiday photos with the various monuments and war memorials as well as panoramic views of Wellington city, Wellington harbour and Wellington airport at close proximity.

2 – Brooklyn Wind Turbine
–>Follow the access signs from Ashton Fitchett Drive, Brooklyn, Wellington.

The public viewing area at the Brooklyn Wind Turbine provides a wider panoramic view of Wellington and the outer suburbs.  Mountain biking in this area is also highly recommended with tracks leading down to the south coast and Wellington city.

3 – Mount Kaukau

This one involves a hike up Mount Kaukau, but the rewards on a fine day are amazing views across all Wellington regions and the South Island can be visible on an exceptional day.
